Wage / Salary:

Approx £30,940 - £34,580 per annum gross.

Days & Hours:

Average 32-35 hours per week based on an 8-week rolling rota, which includes some evening, overnight, and weekend shifts (approximately 1 in every 8 weeks for each). In return, both Mum and the nanny will have some weekdays off. This schedule would suit someone who enjoys variety in their work pattern, rather than a standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 routine. A sample work schedule can be provided in advance, though the final rota may vary slightly. The hours would be higher during school holidays, with the exception of annual leave.

Essential Skills/Traits:
  • 2+ Years SEN Childcare experience 
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence with own car
  • Calm, reliable, caring, honest, trustworthy, fun
  • Understanding and allowance for individual difference
  • Active
  • Firm belief and understanding that a child's behaviour is communicating their needs
  • Flexible, e.g. ability to lead activities but also to be led by children when needed and ability to teach by modelling the desired behaviour, e.g. admitting own mistakes
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care and therapeutic parenting (similar to gentle parenting)

  • Has the ability to balance a child's desire for independence with the need for supervision and emotional reassurance.
  • A Sennie who is flexible and adaptable, able to respond to the needs of both children with compassion and understanding.
  • Enjoys working in a home that values creativity, active play, and emotional connection.
  • Someone who can model emotional regulation and provide techniques for managing feelings like anxiety or anger.
